Affiliate disclosure

This site earns money through affiliate links. When you follow one of those links and buy something, the retailer pays this site a commission. The price you pay does not change.

The site is published by THE ECOMMERCE BOARDROOM, LLC, a company that also trades on marketplaces. Its registered details are on the company details page. The company's own trading does not decide what is recommended here.

What is an affiliate link

An affiliate link is an ordinary link to a retailer's page with an identifier that tells the retailer the visit came from here. On this site those links appear as "Check price and availability" and are marked with rel="sponsored" for search engines, as required.

What we do not do

• We do not publish prices, star ratings or product photographs copied from a retailer's catalogue. The price, the stock status and the photographs belong on the retailer's page, where they are accurate and where their terms allow them to be shown.
• We do not accept payment for a placement, a review or a ranking. No brand pays to appear here.
• We do not claim to have tested a product unless we have. Where a note is based on specifications, documentation or owner reports rather than a unit in our hands, the wording says so.

How products are chosen

Products are grouped by the job they do. We start from the categories people actually shop in, look at what distinguishes the options inside each one — the trade-offs that decide whether the thing suits your situation — and write that down. A product stays on the site while it remains a reasonable answer to a real question; when it stops being one, it is removed.
